  1. Windows Explorer not responding - Windows 11

Hi, I have had an ongoing issue with my windows explorer not responding. Every time I open file explorer it freezes and I am unable to navigate through my folders to reach any files. I then need to end the task with task manager in order to close the window again. I have tried numerous times to fix this issue by clearing history, changing file explorer options, restarting file explorer, restarting my laptop etc. but nothing has worked so far. This is an extremely frustrating issue and has caused a number of problems. I am not sure what else to do. I would really appreciate some urgent assistan

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
