Windows 10: Windows fails to boot with 0xC00000E error on hot boot

I changed the internal 1st SSD on my laptop, and wipe everything and installed windows 10 on the 2nd HDD drive.

Now, it fails to boot almost every time unless, I boot into the UEFI setup menu to choose the Windows Boot Manager entry.

I think the 2 drives are switching at each boot, hence the problem for windows to boot correctly unless I go into UEFI menu.

In linux, I can clearly see that the 2 drives are swithcing at almost every boot. But linux can handle it.

How do I do so that Windows behave and and does not choke if the drive are flipped ??

After the Bios changes, is there any particular step to redo? Or don't it have any influence?

 

Error Code 0xc00000e when booting Windows

I am running Windows 10 on a 2017 Dell Inspirion 15 laptop (not exactly sure what model - can't find the serial number). So I was having an issue logging into my computer following an update, but I didn't have the adminstrator password and wasn't able to
just uninstall the update. I ended up resetting it through safe mode in advanced options (can't remember what option I clicked anymore), to reset it back to factory settings/reinstall Windows. After doing this and rebooting it, I recieved the error code 0xc00000e.
I downloaded the Windows Media tool on another computer I have to create a USB Windows 10 install. I plug that into the laptop and enter into the boot menu and followed the directions from this question:

Error code: 0xc000000e in Windows 10

The results of the Command Prompt entries were:

Bootrec /fixmbr - successful

Bootrec /fixboot - no element found

Bootrec /rebuildbcd - Total identified Windows Installations: 0

-Did the last one not work because I'm using a USB?

Please help! I have been trying to fix this laptop for over 2 weeks now.

Windows boot error 0xc00000e & 0xc00000f

I was running Linux Mint 18.1 and Windows 10. The grub loader was on an hdd with Linux, and Windows 10 was installed on an SSD.

When I went to boot I got a winload.exe 0xc00000e error.

After running bootrec /fixmbr and /fixboot

from an install disc it showed I did not have a windows install.

I tried the instructions here and Vijays suggestion here

but now I get a new error message: 0xc000000f

and grub looks like it’s been overwritten.

Any suggestions on how to get both my machines back?
