Windows 10: Windows Fax and Scan doesn't recognize my scanner

    Windows Fax and Scan doesn't recognize my scanner


    I have a Canon TS5120 All-in-One, and it's worked perfectly until today. All of a sudden, when using Windows Fax & Scan, it isn't recognized. I need to scan an important document and now I can't.


    I have the latest drivers from Canon. What has caused this problem to suddenly occur, and how do I fix it?

    Scanner doesn´t work anymore after last Windows 10 update

    As many people on the internet already are discussing, their scanner doesn´t work anymore after the last Windows update. But there seem to be no solution.

    My Scanner starts making noises, as usual, and then i get error messages: "Communication with the scanner is not possible"
    or this

    Is there a workaround for that?

    Scanner doesn´t work anymore after last Windows 10 update

    I dunno.

    Re-install the TWAIN drivers? (They are not included in Windows.)

    You might get a better answer if you gave the make and model of the scanner.

    Windows 10: Scanner recognizing

    Hi everybody!

    My name is Julian. I have an HP PhotoSmart 4700 Series printer. My problem is the following: Windows 10 recognizes it as printer, but not as scanner. With Windows 7 I had both options (print and scan) in the same program (printers&devices), but now with
    Windows 10, there is a whole new program for scanning and sending faxes. That program doesn´t recognize my printer's scanner.

    Does anybody have the same problem, or better, a solution?
