Windows 10: Windows feature updates 1909 and 20H2 keep failing with BSOD at the end

Hi,

I've tried so many things, but my Windows 10 feature updates just fail all the time. It always results in a restart to Windows boot manager with 3 choices: Windows 10, Windows setup and Windows 10 again?. Which ever I choose I get the blue screen with error MEMORY MANAGEMENT.

I've tried:

- Switch off antivirus

- decrypt my second virtual disk. C is not encrypted

- updated as many drivers as I can using Device Manager

- updates my NVIDIA card

- tried all Windows diag/repair tools I could find

- updated my bios


And:

- I think feauture update 1809 has also failed but I cannot see it in the update history?

- Windows update keeps telling me: You’re currently running a version of Windows that’s nearing the end of service. We recommend you update to the most recent version of Windows 10 to get the latest features and security improvements.

- My Acer laptop is just about 1,5 year old, running Windows 10 home 10.0.17763

- I know that one option is to do a clean install, with keeping my files. But that would mean that all my installed software would be wiped and that's not wat I want.


Really hope someone can help.

20H2 Update BSOD Problem -While Trying the Updating

Hello,

I have a BSOD Problem. While I trying to update my Windows 10 from 1909 to 20H2 I always get BSOD at updating screen.

Already done with cmd command restore health and sfc scan but nothing happened

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time

Upgrade to 20H2 failed

The laptop was offered the feature upgrade to Win 10 20H2. It is still running 1903. It had failed 1909, 2004 with this error 0x80004005 - 0x1000A,The installation failed in the DOWNLEVEL phase with an error during PREPARE_FIRST_BOOT operation.

Since Microsoft does not like this laptop anymore I had done a chkdsk, a SFC / scannow and a disk error check from the properties tab. All errors fixed.

I stopped MS secutity, firewall and the Avast security for the upgrade.

Downloading and installing took some time and it looked as if the laptop was going through the motions. At the end it had just reverted to 1903 again.

What else can I do short of a complete reset?
