Windows 10: Windows Featured Updates 1903 and 1909 verses 1809, Older computer will not install...

I have a older Desktop running Windows 10, version 1809. The newer versions 1903 and 1909 will not install! No problem with 1809 version downloading and installing!

Since this desktop is old it take all of its effort to Download and try to install 1903 and 1909 I cannot use this computer while the update is working. How do I stop these versions/ 1903 and 1909 from Downloading and Installing?

Windows 10 1903 1909 repeated failure to update

Well would't you know it. I did everything, every step, all the suggestions, months of failed downloads and was going to wipe everything tomorrow and start again, but remembered I hadn't tried your suggestion of updating to 1809 before 1903/09, and blow
me down, but it's updated to 1809 with ease!

I have yet to dare to try and get it to update to 1909 but it's the 1st progress in months, so thanks.

 

Need update 1903 before 1909, 1903 failed in August, can't find it to upload

So Windows tried to automatically update with 1909, but since 1903 failed (not sure when), it can't. I've read lots of questions/answers - tried to download a security update that was supposedly a prerequisite to 1903, but all options in the Microsoft update
catalog said they weren't applicable to my computer. Tried to find 1903, but can only find Cumulative Updates that look like they came after 1903.

So last successful update was to 1809. Now I have notices that Feature updates to1903 failed in late August, and that Feature Updates to 1909 failed today. That's cuz i don't have 1903... A 1809 update successfully installed on 6/12/19 (shouldn't I have
had 1903 by then?), but update history only has Cumulative Updates and Security Updates otherwise.

Where do I find 1903 to download? I assume once i get that, i can get 1909 on Windows Update tool?

Asus K401LB x64-based processor. Plenty of RAM and hard drive space.

Feature updates 1809 & 1903 on Windows 10

I have 2 computers, an older Toshiba & a newer Dell. Both have windows 10. The Toshiba updated from version 1803 to version 1809 some time ago. The Dell still has version 1803 on it. I never received a notification on the Dell to update to version 1809
but now I am getting a notification to update to 1903 on the Dell only. So the question is, do I need to update to 1809 on the Dell before I update to 1903? Why did it skip version 1809?

It seems to me that Windows/Microsoft has gotten very bad on accurately notifying you of successfully installed updates and those that don't install.
