Windows 10: Windows File Exporer Default Folders Under This PC Changed Name. Documents is now called...

As my subject/title states, in my Windows File Explorer the name of my default folder "Documents" is now "Pictures". The result of this is that I have two default folders that are called "Pictures". One of them has the normal Pictures logo with all my image files inside and what used to be my Documents folder still has all the documents in it but its caleld Pictures.



Restarting and updating did not solve this issue.



When I click on properties it is not possible to change the name back to Documents.



Does anyone have a fix for this issue? I tried to find something online but only found guides to changing a normal user created folder name

Downloads folder is the Documents folder

I suggest you to Restore to Default the folders and document settings and see if it helps.

Step 1:

Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Download folder.
• Right click on the Download Folder and go to Properties.
• In Properties go to Location tab.
• In location Tab Click on Restore Default.

Step 2:

Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Documents folder.
• Right click on the Document folder and go to Properties.
• In Properties go to Location tab.
• In location Tab Click on Restore Default.

After performing above steps change the settings as you required and check if it helps.
