Windows 10: Windows Firewall blocked some features of this app keeps popping up

I get this popup with Plex Media Sever, Plex Media Player, and Calibre.
All three apps are in the pass list for both Bullguard and Windows Defender Firewall.
Why does this happen and how can I stop it?
I have tried just about every proposed fix I can find on the net.

Whenever I try to open certain apps like Chrome, Spotify, Transmission or any games the Windows Firewall message pops up. It says "Windows Firewall has blocked some features of this app". So I searched around online and tried a solution which was to open
the list of allowed apps and add the programs which I use frequently. The pop-up doesn't show up temporarily but when I restart the laptop it goes back to the way it was before i.e shows the pop-up every time I open those programs. I've even tried to remove
the notifications and disable the Firewall but they keep going back to the way they were before. Is there any permanent workaround for this? If so, could someone please help me out here cause it keeps irritating when I try open those programs! Thanks in advance!

 

Windows Firewall blocks App Store from downloading new apps

Hi,

Let's try to check if the app store you're referring to if it's really blocked by Windows Firewall. See these steps:

• Open Windows Firewall from the taskbar >
  Firewall & network protection > Allow an app through firewall.
• A new window will show up containing the list of the apps that ca be allowed through Firewall.
• Look for the app you want to be accessed, and make sure that the Domain, Private and Public are ticked. That would allow the app store to be accessed.

Let us know what happens after doing the suggestion.

 

Windows firewall keeps blocking chrome and itunes

Hi

Recently i keep getting the message "Windows Firewall has blocked some features off this app" everytime I start the laptop and its always for Google chrome and iTunes. I have added the apps in the allowed area of windows firewall but the popup keeps coming back as if the apps did not save in the allowed box for windows firewall.

I have ran a virus scan both in safe mode and normal windows. I had recently updated to windows 10 anniversary, but I reverted back to the "previous build" to see if that was the problem but I still keep getting the pop up dialog box asking for permission for the two programs.


What can I do to solve this as its very annoying? Hope someone can help
