Windows 10: Windows Firewall keeps switching off after re-setting to on ?

Discus and support Windows Firewall keeps switching off after re-setting to on ? in AntiVirus, Firewalls and System Security to solve the problem; For some reason Windows firewall keeps switching off after re-setting to on.     Windows Firewall keeps switching off after re-setting to on ?


    For some reason Windows firewall keeps switching off after re-setting to on. Although I've got Zone Alarm firewall I've done a couple of Malwarebytes scans but it still keeps happening....

    WINDOWS FIREWALL

    I REMOVED MCAFEE FROM MY COMPUTER.

    BUT WHEN I CHECK MY FIREWALL SETTINGS IT STILL SAYS MCAFEE (SHOWS FIREWALL IS OFF)

    AND I CANNOT SWITCH TO TURN ON WINDOWS DEFENDER FIREWALL

    I TREIED RE-INSTALLING MCAFEE

    BUT IT COMES UP WITH AN ERROR MESSAGE CANT INSTALL

    ANY SUGGESTIONS???

    Ignore the instructions to enable firewall protection [BOTH Norton's AND Defender's] until AFTER the driver dowlnoad - then after the download - re-enable it. Your firewall protection will only be down for the few moments it takes to download the driver,
    and if you are downloading directly from the driver company's site you should be just fine for the few moments it is disabled.

    Windows Firewall keeps switching off after re-setting to on ?

    Finally solved it....

    Control Panel > System & Security > Security & Maintenance > Security > View installed Firewall apps.

    "Note that running more than one firewall at a time can cause conflicts".

    As I have Zone Alarm Extreme Security this must be why it keeps switching Windows Firewall off as all ZA programmes are marked on.... phew !!
