Windows 10: Windows forget where they ares supposed to be 3 monitor setup

Hi there,


I have been running 3 screens for a while. 2x 27" 1080p monitors, these are positioned side by side and above my new LG 38GL950G-B 38" ultra wide screen.


So before I got the LG screen I had another 1080p 40" screen at the bottom which I never had any issues with in regards to programs remembering where they were when I closed them last. Now I get a lot of issues where programs will forget where their last position was and open in strange location across these 3 screens.


For example I use Adobe Photoshop. A very mature and stable program, which has never had issues with having it's toolbars placed on a a second screen. They have always opened back up in the correct locations and I have sen this over many years on many different multi screen setups. This was even the case just before I got the new LG ultrawide screen.


Now that I have the Ultrawide which runs natively at 3840x1600 and sits below the two other 1080p screens which are running natively at 1920x1080 I now have these issues.


It is happening to a few programs and so leads me to believe Windows 10 isn't very good at handling Ultrawide screens or at least Ultrawide screens in multiple monitor setups.


Please help! If there are any tricks I am missing and can try to make this a better experience I am all ears.

Double Monitor Setup is not connecting

Hi Yuri,

To setup dual monitors, I suggest you to press Windows + P keys
and select Extend or the required option and check for status. If you are still unable to setup dual monitor, suggest you to update the Display Adapter driver by following the steps provided below and check for status.

• Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
• Expand Display Adapters.
• Right click on the driver and select Update Driver Software.
• Follow the on-screen prompts to update the driver.

How to setup 3 monitors in 1,2,3, order?

Hi,

I suggest you to follow the steps given below and check if it helps.

1. Right click on start button and select control panel.

2. Click on Display.

3. Now select Change display settings in the left pane.

4. Under Change the appearance of your display section, you will find the three monitors. Drag and drop the

monitors in 1, 2, 3 order.

Setting Up 3 Monitors on a Dell

You need to have a Port replicator depending on the model. Because some monitors supports 3 monitors and some needs to have port replicator to connect 3 monitors. However, I suggest you to follow the below steps, and check if that
