    I'm very sure this issue is hardware related as it only happens on two of my systems with very similar Supermicro motherboards, X9DAE and X9DRi-LN+.

    Linux always boots without problems.

    Windows 10 pro will not shutdown or restart. Gets stuck

    Usually a sign of memory going south. Try booting using one stick only (and change the stick if you have to).

    When you say "force shutdown" you mean you hit the power button?
