    Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. Code 43 for NVIDIA...


    My Nvidia driver isn't working properly on my Lenovo y50, I've tried disabling and reenabling it, uninstalling and reinstalling it. The drive is up to date and I don't know what caused the problem in the first place.


    Any help would be appreciated.

    Can anyone help with this (Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)) no matter what I do uninstall, reinstall and scan for hardware changes I still get the same answer for drivers for Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060.

    Hi Betty,

    Thank you for responding.

    The error code 43 with error message: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems., might have occurred because: One of the drivers controlling
    the device notified the operating system that the device failed in some manner.

    As you have already performed the Hardware and devices troubleshooter and updating the drivers could not fix the issue, I suggest you to uninstall the existing Nvidia drivers as they might be corrupted and re-install them.

    • Right click on the Start button from the desktop and select Device Manager.
    • Locate and expand Display adapter.
    • Right-click on the Display adapter that is listed and click Uninstall.

    Restart the computer and download, install the latest drivers from the NVIDIA website.
