Windows 10: Windows HDD accidently changed to RAW

When i removed my HDD from my old Win 7 system I thought I'd see if I could load it on my laptop which is usually running Linux. The disk came out of that being changed to RAW. I have been able to determine that using chkdsk, but an unable to get any other disk utility to have chance to recover it. Windows 10 recognizes the disk as H: but cannot access it and continue to try to read it.....forever ...essentially locking it to all other actions. Is there anyway to stop windows from trying to access it?

It is possible that your
HDD was unreadable
causing the error message to appear. We recommend that you perform these troubleshooting steps and check if there are any changes:

• 
  Shutdown
  your
  PC.
  
• 
  Unhooked
  the
  HDD
  and
  turn on
  your
  PC.
  
• 
  Reconnect
  your
  HDD
  and
  restart
  your
  PC.
  

If the issue persists, we suggest that you contact your
laptop/computer's manufacturer
for further assistance.

Save RAW drive - Don't want data


Open Admin command prompt, then type:

1. diskpart
2. list disk ======> Take note of disk # of the RAW drive
3. select disk # ======> is the number in step 2
4. clean
5. exit

Open Disk Management and initialize it, Create Simple, format.
