Windows 10: Windows Hello not working for any sign in option

I've got my fingerprint and pin sign in set up on my laptop. But when I try to sign in with my fingerprint it says that my pin is required to sign in. Then when I put in my pin, I'm given the Error message: "something happened and your pin isn't available, please sign in another way" I do have my password set up to sign in. So I can get into my laptop using my password, it's just annoying having to put in my password rather than scanning my finger or just typing a 4 digit pin. I've already done some research on this and they say to remove the pin and add it back on but the remove pin option in greyed out. The article I read says that means that I have "require Windows Hello sign-in for Microsoft accounts" is on and gives instructions to turn that off. But those instruction are either out of date or incorrect because I can't find how to turn that off.[COLOR=rgba60, 72, 88, 1] [/COLOR]

Windows Hello preventing options on requiring sign-in

I got a new Lenovo laptop computer and it was working great but the last month or so it requires me to login every time I step away...I used to have it set for a longer time iirc because it's in a home setting, but when I go to Sign-in options now it tells me:

"Windows Hello is preventing some options from being shown." (screen capture attached)

(and it's stuck on "Every Time").

Is there any way to fix this? Thanks in advance.
