    Windows Hello pin is set up, but settings thinks it is not.


    I want to be able to sign into my pc without using windows hello. However, since I reset windows a few months back, I can still sign in with my PIN but I can't change it or remove the sign in option from settings.When I go into Account>Sign-in options>PIN and click set up, it takes me to a new window where get this it asks me to enter my PIN which is apparently not set up, so I enter my PIN and it closes the window. Literally nothing happens, it just prompts me to enter my PIN, which I do, and then it's still not set up apparently.Also the "only allow Windows Hello sign-in" button is

    you answer the questions below?

    • How are you setting the PIN and Hello?
    • Which build version of Windows is your PC running on?
    • Were there any error codes or messages?

    In the meantime, we suggest that you follow the steps below on how to set up PIN.

    • Open Settings.
    • Select Accounts.
    • Click Sign-in options.
    • Click the Add button for the PIN and set your PIN.
    • Do the same for the Windows Hello.

    Windows Hello will not set PIN

    I was locked into the endless loop of not being able to start my system because I got the "something happened and your PIN is not available" loop. I did a system restore and I am now able to log in, but the Settings menu will not let me create a PIN in Windows Hello. I am logged in with my Microsoft account password and when I try to create the PIN, it gets to the stage where I put in the password and then after I do it, the whole thing just hourglasses for a few seconds, disappears, and still no Windows Hello or PIN. Windows Hello was working before and now I cannot change or access it in any way.

    There is a person who spams every query on PIN with the same steps that do not work and do not address this problem. Please do not tell me to do that.
