Windows 10: windows image viewer loading jpegs slow

loading pngs of the same resolution is almost instant while jpgs show on lower res for a few seconds until they finally reach full res. Is there anything I can do to improve jpeg loading?

JPEG image viewer issue in windows 10

I have issues with the JPEG image viewer that is part of Windows 10. First no matter what I try, push, drag, etc. nothing seems to bring up full screen as in Windows 7. Second, the slide show feature only seems to be able to image 30 or more so images
in a file containing many more. It scans those 30 or so than goes back to the beginning of the list. I really would like to retrieve the Windows 7 viewer but cannot find it in the "Windows Old" files. Does Microsoft produce a viewer better than the default
in Windows 10?

• In search,
• Type Default Programs.
• Check whether Windows Photo Viewer is listed in the list.
• Left click on the photo viewer and select the option paint.
