    Windows insider program locked hard drive after update


    I was/am a member of the Windows Insider program, About 5 days ago, I got an update and when I tried to log on, it did not recognize my credentials, I tried going back to the most recent workable update and then I get there was no bootable drive on my laptop. I got my recovery thumb drive and tried to repair and it said that my hard drive is locked. I tried the chkdsk and bootrec repairs with no success. What else can I do?

    Free hard drive backup/restore program?

    I am looking for a free (freeware) program that will back up and restore a hard drive. I'm looking to clone a few external hard drives. If the program will backup the used space instead of the whole drive this will be awesome! Thanks for any suggestions.

    Installing Windows 10 after replacing hard drive

    I tried to install Windows on my hard drive. The installation seemed to go well but the last step in the process was to update the program. The computer locked during the updating and continued to update for a day, when I did an emergency shut down.
    I repeated this process and gave up. Any suggestions?
