Windows 10: Windows insider program

Hello,


I am trying to build a app.
So I am following a guide that was given to me.

1: dism.exe /online /enable-feature /featurename:Microsoft-Windows-Subsystem-Linux /all /norestart

2: dism.exe /online /enable-feature /featurename:VirtualMachinePlatform /all /norestart


3: wsl --set-default-version 2

Step 3 did not work. I found out that you need the latest windows build.
I checked my build and I have: Version 1909, 18363.1016

Then I found out that you need to opt in for the Windows Insider Program if you want to use that command.
So I did.

Then i went to the windows insider program in my windows update page.
I clicked on it and i got a 0x0 error.
I typed this error on google and i found the following page:

According to that page i deleted a register entry.

1. Press Windows key + R, type regedit, and hit Enter.
2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > WindowsSelfHost.
3. Delete WindowsSelfHost.
4. Restart your PC and check if the issue persists.

And now when i click on windows insider program it says, there is no connection with the service.
Does someone have any idea what is going wrong ?

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

Getting out of the Insider Program

I never completed the insider program step. I would like to get out of it without having to complete it without having to proceed and then having to reinstall Windows 10.

Any suggestions?
