Windows 10: Windows Installer not Working Correctly

I am on a new gaming computer that I built myself running on Windows 10 Home 64 Bit and I am having trouble downloading some .msi files using the Windows Installer. For example, yesterday I attempted to download Hamachi and an error message popped up saying "The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personnel for assistance." Another example of this issue was when i was trying to download Minecraft and the same error message popped up. I ended up getting Minecraft but had to use an alternate download that did not utilize an .msi file. I am unsure what to do at this point, and if someone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

If you having an issue installing a driver that worked before you formatted or wont install on a fresh build, sometimes this means hardware damage
