Windows 10: Windows Installer Version 5.0 in Windows 10

Lately, for about the past two weeks, I keep getting an error message whenever I try to update a particular program on my desktop computer. First, I get a window stating "Downloading Update" or something similar. Second, the "Windows Installer" window pops up stating "Preparing to Install". Then, another "Windows Installer" window pops up stating "Installer Server not Responding" with [retry] or [cancel] options as how to proceed. Initially I tried [retry] a few times, but then I just cancelled. I ended up having to uninstall the older versions, then installing the newer ones, which wasn't a problem until I tried those steps with my "Epson Printer Software Updater" program. I would/will not let me do a clean install. I've searched online extensively and tried pretty much everything. Nothing seems to work. Also, I have only found information on Windows Installer Version 4.5, nothing on Version 5.0. Any thoughts?

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Installing Windows 10 using Windows 7 key

Nope, you need to install Windows 10 first and make sure the Windows 7 key is transferred to your Windows account after you've installed Windows 10 (not quite sure how that works). I missed the last step and I could not activate Windows 10 after a re-install... Microsoft seem to have done everything they can to make it a PITA. Also, it's technically too late to do this now anyhow, as the upgrade offer has expired. But KMSPico works quite well...

As for getting rid of Windows, delete the Windows folder.
