    Windows is changing sound volume

Ive been trying to solve this problem for over a week now. I have two screens, one for browsing and the other for gaming. Whenever I have a game open open any communication software, streaming or any website with a video, windows changes the game sound volume to below 10%.

Yes, I have changed the setting under sounds -> communication to "do nothing".

I tried to manually adjust the volume when it happens under sound mixer.

I checked the settings of the microphone and deactivated AGC.

    Why is this still happening?

    :)

    Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue Windows is changing sound volume :p

  3. Windows 10 volume is always defaulted to 36 and I can't change it

    Hi Ajinc,

It could be some outdated sound drivers or some audio enhancements that caused the issue you are experiencing with controlling your system volume. To narrow down such concern, we'd like to ask a few questions:

    • Which version and build of Windows 10 is currently installed on your computer? To check, click on the
      Start > Settings > System >
      About
      .
    • What are the troubleshooting steps that you've tried so far?
    • Were there any changes made on your computer settings prior to this issue?

Meanwhile, we suggest that you perform the steps listed here. Those are troubleshooting steps suitable for sound problems.

Update us if the steps above helped you in resolving your concern.
