    Windows is not activated: Window 10


    Hi everyone!


    Recently, I have updated my computer to Windows 10 through official website. It went smooth and easy for a few months until last month when I received notification to activate windows. At first, I ignored the message since I have downloaded Window 10 from the official website. However, after a few weeks, there is a watermark on the bottom-right of my PC screen telling me to activate my windows.


    My computer was purchased about 3 to 4 years ago. It's Lenovo G50 series, if I'm not wrong. The computer originally runs on Window 8.1 (Pro), and I have updated it to Window 10 recently as many users seems to be satisfied with the new software updates.


    When I updated my computer, it did not request me to enter any product key, which I, myself, I also did not know the product key since it is already activated when I purchased it.


    Do tell me what to do next and if there are any solutions to this issues. Thank you!

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    How long did you wait for activation?
    When I re-installed with a fresh install... it took a few hours to sync and activate.
    However, it did, finally, activate.

    I won't buy a key, stupid.

    I'll revert back to windows 7 then.

    When I still was on windows 7, about a year ago I added 4GB extra ram which is a total of 8GB now,
    is that causing the problem?
