  1. Windows is not using all the RAM

I am using Windows 10 Professional, I recently noticed that my OS is not utilizing the entire RAMs installed in my computer. I have 16 gigs installed as 2X4 gigs in dual channel and 1X8 gigs out of the four RAM slots.

The installed hardware is recognized in the BIOS and also in Windows propertiesInstalled 16GB - Usable 7.89GB. I was wondering if windows is using the remaining of the RAM in any other way or the memory is getting wasted.

    RIG SPECS:

    Processor: AMD FX-83550 8 core

    Motherboard: MSI 970 Gaming AM3+

    Memory: 2X4GB , 1X8GB 1600 DDr3

    Graphics: Nvidia GTX 960 Ti

    Storage: 256,500 SSDOS,Games and 2TB Data Dumps

Power: Cooler Master Lite 700 Watt 230V

    OPERATING SYSTEM: Win 10 Pro

    Kindly help.

    Thanks in Advance

    :)

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

  3. To RAM or not to RAM...

Hey genesis what hardware have you bought, you might be able to save on the ram and step up the rest of the hardware a little...

Or you could go out on the town as suggested... *Big Grin Windows is not using all the RAM :D
