  1. Windows keyboard slow after update

My machine rebooted last night and now keyboard entry is slower and the there is a longer pause when repeating a key. This is especially noticeable when holding down the backspace key. I went into Control Panel for the Keyboard and made the repeat speed the fastest and the pause before repeat the slowest, but it is still not what it was before the update. I also checked my keyboard driver, ran the keyboard troubleshoot and tried a different keyboard. I went to "Control Panel \ Programs \ Programs and Features \ Installed Updates" to see if anything had installed but it showed that the most recent install was a week ago, so I'm not sure why it rebooted, or if that is definitely linked to the keyboard problem. I also looked at several threads in this forum, but the problems either didn't apply (like problems with a bluetooth keyboard), or they didn't have a solution.

    :)
