Windows 10: Windows lagging only on Dekstop

Hello


I have recently updated my PC to the latest Windows 10 build 1809, and started realising that my PC laggs when Im in dektop or to understand it better when my CPU is in idle or low usage. Im normaly a Gamer and i dont have that problem when gaming at all. Have tested almost everything reinstalling all windows editions from a USB with a clean install, updated my BIOS, updated my drivers and tried every optimisation guide that i have found but nothing helped at all. To be sure that all my hardware is OK i have installed some Linux OS and they where behaving normaly without any issue, automaticly that means is windows the problem.


My PC specs:

intel i5-7500

Asus GTX 960 2GD5

12GB RAM (2 stick dual channel mode)

Gigabyte H110M-DS2-CF

Samsung SSD EVO 860 250GB


I hope someone has a solutions for it...

Random lag spikes

Hi,

We would like to know more about your lag issue:

• What browser are you using when you experience a lag?
• Does the lag occur in a particular game?

In the meantime, we suggest you run the System Maintenance troubleshooter. Here are the steps:

• Press Windows Key + X.
• Click on Control Panel.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• On the left pane, click on View All.
• Click on System Maintenance to run the troubleshooter.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
