    Windows license expiration -- a scam?


    Out of nowhere I'm getting a pop-up saying my Windows 10 license is about to expire and I should click on Settings to actuvate. Is this a scam, or is it for real -- never saw anything like it before.

    Microsoft License Scam??

    Yes that's definitely a scam.

    Windows will never call you and warn you about your license expiring.

    I suggest blocking the number immediately that calls you.

    Just got a call, they left a message that my windows license is expiring. I don't remember ever having to re-up any license , is this also a scam?
