Windows 10: Windows License Key

Hello. To start of, I'm not very tech savvy so apologies if this is hard to understand but I have a problem.

I bought a secondhand mini PC from a friend's friend around 2 years ago. I've never encountered any problem until it bluescreened around a month ago. I went to get it fixed, and everything is smooth sailing again until I keep getting this popup that my windows license key is about to be expired.
When I checked it, it says here "Windows is activated using your organization's activation service".
I didn't understand what it meant, but this PC was supposed to be a PC for a workplace, so I contacted the previous owner. He said that they bought the PC legally so there shouldn't be any problems with the license, and he suspected that the place that fixed my PC actually didn't tell me that they installed a trial version of this Windows.

So my question is, what should I do?
I looked around and can't seem to find this sticker that's supposed to be attached to the device I bought it without the box, FYI, since it's also a secondhand, and when I asked the previous owner, he seemed to not know about any emails/digital license.
If the license is gone, am I supposed to buy it again? Is there no way to fetch it and reactivate it somehow? Is there anyone else that I can contact besides the previous owner?

And in the worst case scenario that I'm supposed to buy it again, can I trust the digital, cheap ones off of Amazon and the likes? Or are there any fatal consequences if I buy it there?

Need help finding OS license key

you can do a couple things.. Hope this helps..

• call your OEM and give them your serial number and they will give you the key.
• Install the new Windows 8 Developer Preview

When you upgraded from a previous version of Windows or receive a new computer preinstalled with Windows 10, what happened is the hardware (your PC) will get a digital entitlement, where a unique signature of the computer will be stored on Microsoft
Activation Servers. The Windows 7 or Windows 8 genuine license you were previously running will be exchanged for a diagnostics key.

Anytime you need to reinstall Windows 10 on that machine, just proceed to reinstall Windows 10. It will automatically reactivate. You will prompted to enter a product key a couple times through the installation, click I don't have
a key and Do this later.

There is no need to know or get a new key, but if you have issues with Digital Licensing or the Activation Troubleshooter, you can utilize an existing Windows 7 or Windows 8/8.1 product key you already own to
reactivate if necessary. or use the reset function in Windows 10.

"Flavors" of Windows licenses

Windows can be a little "odd" about license keys. There are at least 4 categories:

• Retail
• OEM
• Volume (electronic download)
• Corporate (no key needed)

For guaranteed success, the license key and media should be in the same category. If you have retail media, you may not be able to install it using an OEM or Volume license key, even though the key is valid for that version of Windows. *Wtf :wtf: Apparently, this is part of Microsoft's anti-piracy scheme (i.e., all customers are guilty until proven innocent).
