Windows 10: Windows Live Mail

is there anywhere I can download it? Got a new computer and wanted to install but I found out it no longer is supported. Tried CNet, but it's just a link to Microsoft.

Anyway, all my downloaded e-mail history (from earthlink's webmail) is in that format.

I still have my old computer with it installed on there. Anything I can do with that to get it on my new computer?

Email (Mail) on Windows 10?

Windows Live Mail does not look like the Mail App and it shouldn't. You said the new Windows Live Mail doesn't look like the current Windows Live Mail which confused me since it isn't Windows Live Mail.

What is the issue with the Windows Live Mail that you just installed?

 

Switch from Windows 10 mail to windows live mail

I have been using Windows Live Mail but gave Windows 10 mail a try and do not like it. Now I need to change back to Windows Live Mail. Every time I open Windows Live Mail it closes with "Windows Live Mail Has Stopped Working".

Is this because W10 mail is designated as my mail program?

All I want to do is turn off W10 mail and use Live mail which I have already installed.

only thing i know that uses that format is windows mail on windows 10 , it has the its own email client but its pretty scaled down in comparison to the old windows live mail. you could always pay for outlook 2016 i do its like a monthly subscription for the whole suit 10.99 , comes with office 2016. other then that web mail stuff. there was another email client back in the day called mozilla thunderbird i don't know if they make it anymore though.

 

Windows Live Mail is part of Windows Essentials 2012 which reached end of support on January 10th. It's no longer supposed to be available for download, but the offline installer was still available to download from Microsoft when I last tried (about an hour ago). See here for the link...

Don't bother with Windows Live Mail; if you're trying to sync with Outlook.com (Hotmail, Live, etc.), WLM's protocol (Exchange ActiveSync) is no longer available.

Your options are W10 Mail & Calendar (free but feature-limited), Outlook 2016 (paid, part of Office 2016 / Office 365), or 3rd party email clients like Thunderbird or eM Client.

Since your EarthLink data is stored in WLM's format, you can directly import your files into Outlook using various 3rd party products or eM client with its built-in feature.
