Windows 10: Windows Live Movie Maker - Import Video Problem

Windows Live Movie Maker keeps telling me an Import Video is already started and that I cannot start a new one until the old one is stopped. I do not have any other Import Video underway. How can I correct this so that I can proceed to import video from my camcorder to my Windows 10 desktop? The camera is connected via firewire.

No, no stuttering problems ...LIVE Movie Maker worked fine for the first few weeks and now I cannot import videos and play them well. I use FRAPs but this issue never happen with all the other videos I use to make.
