  1. Windows Logon GUI application

as the title says, what does that program actually do?

cause recently I noticed it was eating up my CPU usage. it's always turned all the way to 80-90%, which cause the full CPU usage to 100% cause there's other background apps running. but the thing is when I open task manager it suddenly kills the app, it just instantly drops down to 4-7% CPU usage and the Windows Logon GUI application disappears from the tasks. and when I forget to open task manager and just go on using the pc as I normally would, after a few hours windows will start to get laggy. games would start freezing and it's probably due to the high CPU usage getting eaten up by that app.

what is it doing in the background when the task manager is closed? why is it using so much of the CPU?

this only started when I upgraded my pc. I'm using an AMD Ryzen 5 3500X, 16GB of ram, and a 5700XT videocard.

can anyone shed a light on this app's highly unusual behavior? it's been happening for a few months now.

    :)

  2. Windows Logon GUI application causing high CPU usage!?

So the problem is as it says, when i start up my computer everything works smooth and fine, but then i hear the ventilators working as if the computer was using alot of CPU, with nothing actually running... then I open task manager and first thing that shows
up is that "Logon GUI Application" is using about 70-80% of my CPU??? and after a second, It disappears and I hear my ventilator slowing down. This really makes 0 sense to me... Help!

    Thanks in advance
