  1. Windows Mail app how to modify attachment size

    Hi,

Do you know if there is a way to increase the attachment size for windows 10 mail app ?

    Perhaps some registry settings ?

It looks like the maximum limit is 10 MB. No way to receive or send above that limit.

My infrastructure has an exchange 2016 on it and the limits for attachments are quite higher. Outlook with the same users can handle like 50 MB attachmnets.

    Thanks

Mail app will not open on 10041.

    Hello Adam,

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it. Windows Mail app how to modify attachment size :)

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

    • Open powershell as administrator
    • Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
    • Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

are there limits to attachment size in the mail app

I took two 1600 x 1200, approx. 900K file size photos this morning and tired to email via the mail app, both times it put the psot into the draft folder and said it couldn't send it out because either an email address was wrong or the attachment size was too large.

The photos sent fine no problem in gmail, any help would be appreciated, once again is there a attachment size limit in the mail app?

    Thanks
    TC
