Windows 10: Windows mail cannot load Yahoo mail's captcha

Hi,The Windows Live Mail application cannot load Yahoo Mail's Captcha.I am trying to add my yahoo email account to the Windows Mail app. I have tried adding it as a yahoo account/advanced setup. I have tried uninstalling and clearing the cache.The problem is shown in the screenshot below. The blank space is a captcha that yahoo included recently. Can someone tell me a way to get around this? My Microsoft edge can log in to yahoo mail just fine, I have enabled Javascript, but Windows Mail is still unable to load this captcha. Or can someone confirm that Windows Mail does not support javascript?

I went this route and added passwords for yahoo mail. I might try this method above to get gmail to buck up! *Tongue

YAHOO MAIL FIX
2FA needs to be enabled which it already was and just follow these steps below.

1. In yahoo mails account security, click on manage app passwords.




2. After selecting other app and entering the new app name in the text box




3. Now, in Windows 10 mail app, add this type of account.




4. In Windows 10 mail app, enter your details and the password generated by step 2.




Fully functional mail app again.



GMAIL FIX

Now similar steps to setting up Gmail. Here I'll only go through the Gmail steps as Windows Mail App setup is the exact same.

Yes, once 2-factor authentication is enabled you should then create the app specific password & enter it instead of the account password.

 

Is Yahoo Mail Down, Right Now?

I can't get into my Yahoo Mail. Tried on 3 different computers, and it doesn't seem to be my router.

I also tried YPOPs w/ Outlook 2007. But no joy.

CAN ANYONE ACCESS THEIR YAHOO MAIL, NOW?
