Windows 10: Windows Mail Has Stopped Working

Windows Mail first stopped syncing, then it stopped working at all. I reset, but it doesn't work. I can't uninstall it either (button is grayed out). So, that means I can't download it again since the Windows Store shows it as already installed. Any ideas?

  The account you are facing issues with, is that the only and primary account configured in Windows 10 Mail App or it is an additional account?
  

If additional account, then I suggest
remove the account and reconfigure it, and check the behavior. This doesn’t delete the original account or messages—you’ll still be able to get to them through a browser.

I also suggest you to go to People.Live.com
and check if you are able to access your contacts from web based interface.

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
