Windows 10: Windows Mail isn't running in background

Discus and support Windows Mail isn't running in background in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I don't get any notifications of new emails until I open the app. I already tried to reinstall and check the "allow to running in background" option....     Printer isn´t working after latest update.

    After the latest update from Windows, my Canon Pixma ip6600 printer isnt working. In Device Manager it shows up as working properly but when I go to print it isn´t listed as an option in any programs. Troubleshoot suggests it´s a USB 2 printer on a USB
    3 port and that that´s the problem but that cant be since it worked fine before the update. I´ve tried to uninstall and plug it back in but that doesn´t work either.

    Mail app will not open on 10041.

    Hello Adam,

    This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it. Windows Mail isn't running in background :)

    In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

    • Open powershell as administrator
    • Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
    • Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

    Does mail run in the background?


    Hi,
    I have the same problem. I can't see windows 10 email app on background apps area, and I don't know how to put it there.
    I tryed to uninstall, mas I couldn't. It seems that it is system protected app.
    Any recommendation?
