    Windows Mail Notification Not Clearing


    This problem has been ongoing since the last update to the mail app.

    This will not clear. I've tried repairing the app, reinstalling the Mail app, removing and readding my mail accounts, booting in safe mode, running the troubleshooter, SFC /scannow, rebooting, and several other listed (copy/pasted) fixes that you folks at Microsoft will suggest. None of fixes the problem, nor does it tell me anything is wrong. I've also tried creating a new account (Microsoft's default answer for everything because they still can't figure out how to keep account information from becoming corrupted). That didn't work either.


    As I said, this started a few days ago when the mail app was updated from the store.

    Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

    Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.

    I did that to no avail, then I ran WSReset.exe; now I'm good on all 3, Mail, Calendar and People! *Confused
    Go figure!

    Windows Mail Notification Not Clearing

    No New Mail notifications on Windows 10

    I'm also having this issue, but the 8.1 solution isn't appropriate for Windows 10. I've enabled notifications in both the Mail app and Settings, but Mail doesn't appear in the list of Show notifications from these apps.

    Any other suggestions?
