Windows 10: Windows media player 12 query

I am using WMP 12 and I am having a few issues with it. My first issue is that I recently asked it to apply media information changes. I now realise that this was not a good idea as it seems to want to change everything that I have added myself over the years. Is there any way that I can stop the process? My next issue is I notice that when I to the find album info it shows me that the album info is encrypted. Why is this? Is there a way that I can unencrypt it? As far as I can remember this never happened in the past. My final Issue is that I am unable to burn CD's in WMP, from what I have been able to establish is that I am missing CODEC files this also seems to be a recent problem as I have always been able to do this in the past. How do I resolve this issue?
