Windows 10: windows media player and vlc always stops for a couple seconds no matter was possible...

When i watch a movie on vlc media, the move/show always just stops for a couple of seconds. When i search up this problem for vlc media, i get solutions for "player keeps freezing or buffering" but they never work so Idk if my issue is falling under freezing or buffering. There is no buffering circle so i dont think its buffing (why would it buffer in the first place? i have the movie/show downloaded). the vlc isnt also doesnt freeze...the video just stops. As i mentioned i tried multiple solution online for vlc media including changing the video output and the cache size and some codex stuff i believe?. I though it was a vlc issue but the same thing happens on windows media player. Windows 10 is the latest version and all drivers are up to date. I retested the pc and still the same issues. This has been happening for a few months now. Idk what could be the problem.

Second odd Vlc Media Player Question?


First of all I know there's a way to change program icons such as firefox all you do is right click shortcut change icon. Simple.

I would guess its the same way for vlc media player. But here's the odd question part.

Is it possible to have 1 program with 2 different icons.

For example if I use vlc to play .mp3 files and have a cute headphones icon and want the media player to have the headphones icon while playing .mp3 files and then have a different icon for the vlc media player for playing video in .mp4 and .flv files. So all audio file will have the headphones icon for the player itself not the file type icons same for video file types like .mp4 and .flv.

Like I said its a odd question.

For example if I used vlc for the audio .mp3 files and used the headphones icon that would be fine but then I would need a different player for the videos then I could use my video icon. For the player.

If you have windows 10 and are playing vlc media player there would be a orange cone on the bottom with a line under it. I would like to know if I can switch the orange icon to a set of headphones for playing 1 file type and have it show a different kind of icon for videos.

Like I previously stated its a odd question. hope someone can help me with it though. Plus if I can't do this with just the vlc media player please suggest a second free player.

To safely Uninstall VLC Media Player from Windows 10 follow next steps:

• Click on the Start button, and then select “Settings”



• Click on “System”



• Select “Apps& Features” in the left-hand sidebar



• Scroll down to locate VLC Media Player

• Click “Uninstall” and then confirm the uninstallation in the pop-up window by clicking“Uninstall”

Search for the components of VLC Media Player

• Click Start and then enter Regedit in the search box, Windows 10 users can type Regedit in the search bar and then enter the Registry Editor



• Hold down Ctrl+ F keys to launch the Find box. Put in CLV Media Player

• Choose the registries related to VLC Media Player and then delete them all.

• Note that this steps can trigger problems, thus to prevent problems occurring, you’d better back up the registry so that you can restore it if problems occurred.

Step 4: Show hidden files and remove the leftovers

• Click Start> Control Panel> Folder Options, choose the View Tab.

• Check the “Show hidden files and folders” in the Advanced Settings and then select “OK”.

Search for the leftovers of VLC Media Player in the Search Bar by entering VLC Media Player, and then delete the leftovers.

CUE sheet, Daemon Tools Lite and VLC media player = issue

VLC Medial Player doesn't display CD-TEXT correctly. No matter how hard I try, second song title defined after the main one (typically two songs in one track, or two names for the same song), the second name is displayed as performer instead of song title. That applies for brackets, slash and dash delimiter.

My question is - how can I display it correctly with VLC Media Player? The only one other media player I have, is actually Windows Media Player that doesn't know CD-TEXT at all and therefore doesn't display any names. Groove Player is beyond my understanding and takes a loong time to launch, which is unacceptable.
