Windows Modules Installer, should I be seeing it as a restore point?

Hi May be a dumb question, but I've only just started paying more attention to this. I know in the past I've been frustrated by not having a very recent restore point because of bad computer practice when making a change which might affect the registry. I'm doing better. But in doing so I'm noticing that there's a restore point for Windows Modules Installer at each startup. I don't recall noticing this before a couple of days ago. Is it normal? What gives? One thing: I have switched from Avast back to Defender for all security, to simplify this aspect of running it as more and more updates keep rolling in.
Is it possible Defender is doing this? This PC: older i7 HP Pavillion dv7-7030us 8Gb, 1Tb drive with build 2004.

Windows Modules Installer listed in System Restore points

Every day, for at least three or four weeks, "Windows Modules Installer" is listed in System Restore points as being a restore item. What, Why and How would this be happening? Is there a way to find out what the installer is trying to install (and why it runs every day)?

    Thanks for any help*Smile
