    Everytime i update my pc, or put my pc to sleep, my KTC monitor would turn off and not turn on even as i tinkered with the control panel. Yesterday i had to do the update which involved letting it update, monitor shutting down in the middle of it, forcing the pc to turn back on again to finish the update sometimes I'd need to do this multiple times, and all would run normally. However, today windows told me i needed to activate it, and trying to activate it resulted in an error. I was initially confused but was able to update the computer again which resolved the issue, any idea why my monit

    Does Windows 7 require reactivation if...

    Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think its going to ask you for a key. If anything it will ask you to reactivate, which you can do online, or at the worse- over the phone. Should be no issue.

    I have changed MBs in the past (and been too lazy for a fresh install) and Windows Vista and 7 RC updated the drivers and did not even require reactivation.

    I need assistance on both suggestions; how to

    1. turn off laptop monitor?

    My workaround is to use PowerPoint Screen Recorder but this need additional screen capture.

    The reason for Screen Recorder is Windows 10 Mouse Cursor for Office Menu item disappear when select Screen Capture App. It is cumbersome to show Tech Support what is selected on Office App on captured screen...

    Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    • What changes did you make in the BIOS? As making the changes in the BIOS is only recommended by Microsoft if done by the manufacturer.
    • How are you connecting to the 2nd monitor?
