    Windows not installing Recommended Updates!

Eset is consistently showing many Recommended Updates pending to be installed. To confirm i even successfully updated one of them from Device Manager.

The problem is that neither Windows Update is catching these recommended updates nor is it downloading them automatically which includes motherboard, printer and many other important device updates. How do i force Windows to 'see' and download these 'recommended updates'? I did not find any setting to manage this feature.

    Please help guys.

    :)

  2. Locating and installing Recommended Updates in Win 10

I'm Greg, an installation specialist and 8 year Windows MVP, here to help you.

.I would uninstall any 3rd party antivirus and try running the built-in Defender which gives adequate protection, least issues, and is from Microsoft who knows how to protect their OS best.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's resolved.

Locating and installing Recommended Updates in Win 10

Hi RPetersBHS, a lot of the AV applications now include app updaters, which in truth is not the job they were designed for . . .

Your AV is probably indicating that it has found available updates for your 3rd party software and/or drivers.

Open the control panel on your AV program (usually accessible from its icon on the right hand side of your Taskbar, there will be an app updater section, click on that and you should find the list of updates it has found applicable to your system . . .
