Windows 10: Windows not working

Hi. So my pc has been bugging me for a few days now, and i suddenly noticed that i can not open my task manager. After noticing that, i started digging and found out that i could not update my pc, i could not recover my pc or reset it. I found out that whenever i make a change on my pc install, uninstall, change settings and i restart my pc, it goes back to the point where it is now. It seems to be frozen in this very moment, but still functional. I suspect some kind of virus, but im not sure. I have tried running various scans without any success. It is really bugging me, and i want to know if there is another way to fix this than to hard reset the pc. I thank you all

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
