Windows 10: WINDOWS One-Drive off-line "standalone" and Inking is logging Synaptic TouchPad and Key...

Hi Everyone, Guess after the New Year, Windows Update crashed my HP laptop and Dell desktop had to format drives and reinstall 64-bit 1909 OS via USB. No Crashes for 7 years! till now. Seems new Microsoft 10 home features of One-Drive and Inking network access key Logger etc. has joined together to record and log files to hard drive when off-line One-drive "stand alone" all key logging and Synaptic touch pad actions are logged and files are becoming very large and eating up disc space 11+ GB and growing. looking at the file it is mixed with program data I have used. looking at the Firm Ware Drivers Microsoft installed for Synaptic touch pad are old and might have a Trojan or virus but Windows Defender Security scans and MSMR. software removal tool report nothing. have turned off One-Drive and Inking Key-Logger, slowed down file growth, but not stop. Deleted log files but log in recreated next boot. will try to uninstall Synaptic Driver and Update to see if the logging stops.

Anybody else seeing this problem? any help, suggestions?

This issue may occur due to the outdated Synaptics Touchpad drivers. Try the below steps and check if it helps.

I would suggest you to download and install the latest Synaptics Touchpad drivers from the manufacturer’s website and uninstall the Synaptics touchpad drivers and re-install the same again.

Note: Make sure you download and save the TouchPad driver and installed it before uninstalling the same.

To uninstall Synaptic touchpad drivers, follow these steps:

• 
  Press Windows key + X and click on
  Device Manager.
  
• 
  Locate Mice and other pointing devices and expand the same.
  
• 
  Right-click the Synaptic driver and select
  Uninstall. (Note: keep the latest installed Synaptic driver)
  
• 
  Restart the computer, if prompted.

There is no Synaptic driver under Mice and other pointing devices to uninstall. What now?

 

Disabling Synaptic touchpad in Windows 10, and why it won't stay disabled. For a left handed person, it is disruptive.

If you wish to disable your touchpad, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below.

• Press Windows Key +X.
• Select Device manager.
• Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
• Right click on Synaptic touchpad driver and select Disable.
• Click OK to confirm and check with the issue.
