Windows 10: Windows opens new default browser window with L+R mouse click

I have this issue when playing mostly FPS shoot games. When I hold R mouse button to aim with scope and then click L mouse button to shoot, instead of shooting Windows takes me out of the game and opens a new default browser window (chrome or edge or whatever I change the default browser to). I know it is not an issue with any of the browsers because the problem persists regardless of the browser I am using. The issue seemingly started at random in the middle of a play session without me knowingly changing any settings.


I have tried updating the drivers for my mouse, but they are already the most recent ones.


I have uninstalled and reinstalled the mouse.


I have rebooted the PC.


The problem persists regardless of the game I am playing. Lmb+Rmb opens a new window even when I am out of a game, I only ever noticed in a game because that's when I use those buttons together.


How can I change the function of pressing both mouse buttons simultaneously or change the shortcut that opens the default browser window?

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Unable to set default browser

• Does this issue happens while you try to set other browser as default too or is it specific to specific browser?

Any browser.

Already did the steps you suggested. It's some kind of bug where it's impossible to set a default browser at all.

I heard elsewhere from one other user that it seems to be a problem with upgrading to 10 on the SP3. Sounds very specifc.
