Windows 10: windows password reset disk

i have a older dell with windows xp i forgot my password to login into my administrator account, and i only have that one account. i did some research and online and read up on the password reset wizard method to reset your password. as you would know you have to download the wizard first then use it on the log in screen, the only computer i have access to is my desktop with windows 10. my question is does it matter if i am downloading it from a windows 10 and trying to use it on an older windows like xp? or do i have to download the wizard from the windows xp to use it on a windows xp. basically are they both compatible with one another. any information on the subject would help and would be greatly appreciated.
