Windows 10: Windows photo app going to most recently viewed photo instead of next photo

Windows photo app going to most recently viewed photo instead of next photo in the folder using mouse wheel with latest windows update, how do I change it back? in photos settings I have it checked to "view next or previous item" when using the mouse wheel.

Photos are opening with Paint instead of Photos app

It's likely that your default application for opening photos is Paint. To change your default program in Windows 10 from
Paint to the Photo app, we suggest that you perform the following steps:

• On the Start menu, select Settings.
  
• Go to System, then go to Default apps.
  
• Select Photos or any app that you like to be the default under
  Photo viewer.

Cannot view photos in photo app


I opened my picture library and double clicked to view photo, photo App opens and shuts immediately and then displays an error message. This happens with all photos/pictures I have tried to open!



How can I view my photos/pictures in Windows 10? *Sick

Just to clarify I sign in with a Local account, do I have to sign in with a Microsoft account to use the apps?

Thanks Joergi for the link but Photo App did not work in Safe Mode or after running sfc /scannow as suggested in that link.
I have now done as Brink suggested and Restored Windows Photo Viewer and now I can get to see my photos and pictures. Thanks Brink *Thumbs
