Windows 10: Windows Photos is probably one of the worst pieces of software I have ever used

This is just more of a rant than anything (but if anyone has any helpful tips please for the love of God leave them) but dear God the default Windows photos application is one of the buggiest, glitchiest, most poorly-designed applications I have ever used. I cannot for the life of me import photos without it crashing after importing only a handful of pictures, requiring me to restart the app and unplug and plug back in my device only to find it freezes while looking for photos to import and having to do it all over again. I have tried multiple USB ports, multiple devices, multiple cables, multiple computers even--the problem is the same. I cannot fathom how an app shipped like this.

Greatest piece of software thread!

This is to counter the worst piece of software thread so that you could put only the great ones here and your opinions and the worst one in the worst piece of software thread!

I'll start:

Kaspersky- Always did the job without any problems.

Skype- Great chat program. I use it every day when me and my friends play DOTA.

How to get rid of raw file support in windows photo viewer?




I have downloaded this, and it did not work; photo viewer is not in the list of programs in Open With or Default App. I used option 2 step 3, followed by step 5 to 9.
