Windows 10: Windows Photos not working

On my desktop, Windows Photos opens into a black screen and then immediately closes. On my Surface laptop and on my wife's desktop (identical to mine), Windows Photos opens so that one can view old photos, but when one tries to import new photos from either my or my wife's iPhones, Windows Photos begins to import them ("300 photos found" -- or whatever number) but the system then freezes.


I have tried repairing Windows Photos, Resetting Windows Photos, and uninstalling and reinstalling it. None of these attempts have helped.


Because Windows Photos isn't functional across three separate computers, I'm assuming it may be a problem caused by a recent update, but from what research I've done on-line I've not seen reports of anyone else having similar problems.

Cheap Photo box that will get the job done

WEll i took on this project for PP hes a hardware reviewer and wants to get the professional looking pics for the Pc parts

Materials:

• Big cardboard box

• a razor

• white material 3 yards

• cone lights

• stapler

• medical tape

• pvc pipe about 6 inches longer than your box

• white paint any cheap finger paint would work

the project I'm guessing will cost me $30 if it works out properly
I will post pictures and step by step as i do it

Windows 10 Microsoft Photos has stopped working.

This issue often caused by a corrupted files. For us to have your Photo app working, we suggest that you restore Photos app package by following these steps:

• Click on Start.
• Type PowerShell, and select Windows PowerShell
  from the list of result.
• Type this command and press Enter:
  • Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}
• Restart your computer. Check if the issue persists.
