Windows pro downgraded to home after supportasist os recovery

Hi,I used dell's supportassist OS Recovery recently, and doing so, my bitlocker disappeared. Turned out I no longer was using windows 10 pro any more but windows 10 home. How is this possible, can I easily fix this?I do like to have my hard drive encrypted so as an alternative I looked for device encryption, which is neither available on my laptop. Suggestions?Machine:dell xps 13 7390 2-in-116 GB Ram512GB ssd

    :)

How to downgrade Win7 pro to WinXP

I have bought Windows 7 pro edition which is downgradable. The question is how to downgrade ?
After the downgrade what is going to be the s/n of the XP is it going to be the same S/N of the Windows 7 pro that I have downgraded ?
And is it possible to install Windows XP with the Windows 7 pro serial number ?
And if I want to end up with XP downgrade is it the only way ?

Downgrade Windows 10 Pro to Windows 10 Home

I must downgrade Windows 10 Pro to Windows 10 Home.

My desktop ran into an error of unknown cause. The last attempt to save it was installing Windows 10 from a recovery USB. I did not have one for my computer and was far past the point of creating one. Instead, I created the recovery USB on another computer.
Reinstalling Windows 10 worked, and the computer is functioning perfectly -- with a catch. From everything I read, the reinstallation process should have picked up the product key inserted on the motherboard at the factory and given me a clean install of the
Windows 10 Home version I originally paid for with the computer. Instead, the recovery USB installed the version of the OS it was created on. Now I have a Windows Pro installation with the same product key and device name of the computer the recovery USB was
created on. That situation has to be fixed; I must downgrade back to Windows 10 Home with my own product key. The following information has come up in other forum posts around the Internet and may be useful:

    • The computer is a Dell XPS 8700, i7-4590, 16gb, 2TB.
    • Original OS: Windows 10 Home.
    • Current OS: Windows 10 Pro.
    • The computer and operating system are not stolen, hacked, using after-market product keys, using unauthorized product keys, using free general keys that turn up in various forums and websites, using second-hand product keys, or using anything other than
the parts and installation it came from when I purchased it from Dell.
    • Yes, I want to stay with Windows 10 Home. I have no need for Pro, nor funds for a new Pro operating system -- just to change the product key.
    Fixes tried:

    1. Change product key in Activation section.
    2. Edit the registry as suggested in other Microsoft community posts to change references of Windows 10 Professional to Windows 10 Home followed by reinstalling Windows. It does not detect the original product key or prompt for a new one but finishes and shows
the same Windows Pro installation and product key I'm trying to get rid of.
    3. Buy and install a new Windows 10 Home USB (an authorized product from a big box store). Same result as #2.
    4. Edit the registry and install the new Windows Home edition with the same result as #2.
