Windows 10: Windows product not active after update??! Windows 10

Hi,


Ive obviously made the fools error of allowing windows to apply an update to my laptop and now my laptop is barely functioning because it is telling me my product is no longer active even though it is the same version of windows 10 as it was previously and all i did was allow an update?


The error message im getting is this:

We cant activate windows on this device because you dont have a valid digital license or product key. If you think you do have a valid license or key, select Troubleshoot below. Error code: 0xC004F012.


My laptop came with windows 10 home preinstalled so i had no key but i have downloaded a tool to retrieve the product key i presume from my digital license but when i try to manually enter that key it still tells me its not valid...


Does anyone have an idea as to what i can do?

Windows 10 Activation (Insider)

How long did you wait for activation?
When I re-installed with a fresh install... it took a few hours to sync and activate.
However, it did, finally, activate.

or you could hack it with a crack but please note this is always risky and you don't know what's in the hack
