    Windows refuses to change the timezone since dual booting linux


    I've recently installed Linux Mint on my machine for school and since then Windows 10 refuses to acknowledge that I am on the east coast. Mint has the time right, but Windows is stuck on pacific time. Changing the timezone in the settings app does nothing and setting it to timezone automatically sets it to pacific. If I manually set the time, a restart puts it back 3 hours.

    Control panel isn't helpful either. Trying to change the timezone there says I don't have permission despite having admin access.

    I have no idea what to even do.

    Dual Booting Linux With Windows 7

    So I had a laptop with Linux Mint Installed on it, and I Installed Windows 7 on an extra partition I had set up. However, now it refuses to boot into Linux Mint and only boots into Windows 7. How can I get it to Dual Boot the 2 Operating Systems?

    I was wondering if theres a way when dual booting Windows 7 and Linux Mint, to have it boot Windows by default and possibly not show the GRUB menu, and if I press a certain key, have it boot linux instead?

    Is this even possible?
