Windows 10: Windows refuses to update through a basic auth proxy, error 0x8024401c

Hey everyone,

I know the error above has to do with internet connectivity but on the PC I am having this problem I only have access to the internet via a basic authenticated proxy. When I check my update logs I can see Windows is trying to access the internet via the proxy but is getting hung up because of lack of credentials.

Is there anyway to store these credentials so that I can get Windows Update to work? They're stored for IE and that works just fine, but Windows Update does not. *Rolleyes

I am getting error 0x8024401c on my phone windows store.I am using proxy authenticated wifi

 

store not downloading any app

showing error code (0x8024401c) while downloading any app from windows store on windows 10

i am using a proxy server for my internet connection.

but at the same time my friend using same proxy server for internet connection is able to download apps.

then why in my pc it is showing error (0x8024401c).
